According to our data, London boasts an incredible 27,931 hectares of green space, making it a fantastic place to live and visit for adventure-seeking men who enjoy cycling, swimming and other activities and love the great outdoors. That’s almost four times as much green space as Manchester (7,320 hectares) and 10 times more than Liverpool (2,781 hectares).
London also came top in three other factors in men’s physical and mental health – meditation, spa breaks and wellness. Our research uncovered 5,400 monthly Google searches for the term ‘meditation,’ 1,900 for ‘wellness,’ and a staggering 12,100 for ‘spa break,’ across the capital city. That’s thousands more searches every month than its nearest rival cities of Birmingham and Manchester.
Ultimately, the data shows that men’s wellbeing continues to grow in prominence thanks to popular awareness campaigns like Movember. And as our research demonstrates, you don’t have to travel far in the UK to find a city where men’s mental and physical health are extremely well catered for.
