Employees at House of Cavani rolled up their sleeves and donned their gardening gloves to help maintain Acorns Children’s Hospice gardens in Birmingham, as part of the company’s first ever CSR campaign.

Volunteers at the menswear brand were equipped with rakes and shovels as they dedicated their time and effort to support the upkeep of the walkways and outdoor play areas at the hospice, which provides specialist palliative care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

The event coincided with Children’s Hospice Week between 16th June and 22nd June – the UK’s national annual awareness raising week dedicated to shining a spotlight on the crucial work of hospices and children’s palliative care services.

House of Cavani has also raised £5,000 for Acorns and donated a £500 shopping voucher towards its suits, which was offered as a raffle prize for Acorns first ever black-tie gala. The event collectively generated £190,000 to support specialist care and support for children and families, especially during the times when they need it the most. The gardens feature themed play areas for children and their siblings, as well as sensory areas with water fountains, scented plants, and bright flowers, to give heightened awareness and help spark imagination. A peaceful memorial garden is also situated in the hospice gardens, allowing families to spend time reflecting and remembering a child they have lost.

Sukhi Mondair, CEO of House of Cavani, said: “At House of Cavani we believe fashion should not only inspire beauty but also bring people together to make a difference. Partnering with Acorns is a meaningful way for us to support the incredible work they do for children and families. We’re proud to roll up our sleeves and contribute to creating safer spaces where children can play and enjoy every experience.”

Louise Skidmore, Partnerships Fundraising Manager (Corporate), said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at House of Cavani for their amazing support during Children’s Hospice Week. Their generosity and hands-on help in our gardens have made a real difference in maintaining this special space, where children and families make precious memories. We’re especially thankful for their £5,000 donation and the £500 voucher, which helped raise vital funds for our care. Partnerships like this are truly invaluable, and we’re so thankful for House of Cavani’s kindness, energy and commitment.”

Jack Wigley, Media Executive, said: “Getting involved in the garden clean-up for Acorns has been such a rewarding experience. It’s amazing to see our team come together outside the studio to support a cause that truly matters. Knowing we’re helping to create a more enhanced space for children and families makes all the hard work so worthwhile.”
